Come and find me at M2 under the big Oak tree. Day 2 of 3 at @handmadebritain @waterperrygardens. For the potters amongst you I have 2 tools for sale, clay wires that are superfine braid. They are not available in shops, are handmade and have a little story behind them - come and ask me. The second is a trimming spinner to steady pots as you turn them down, it has an integral bearing and is handy for smaller taller pots 💫

Squeezing in a last firing or two before @handmadebritain come and visit at @waterperrygardens this coming Friday/Sat/Sun 12-14 June. I’m all packed up ready now. Looking across the body of recent work I’m very pleased. Some older pieces have been retired (with a hammer) and whilst this is a waste on one hand it’s a mark I’ve moved on. As a potter I believe you are on a journey, and will be evolving your work. Enjoy the journey, enjoy my journey, see you all over the weekend 💫

Crimson red clover is absolutely stunning in the fields, love the explosion of growth right now. Faceted vase takes second place and rightly so with the beauty of nature. Glaze is a nuka (p27 Phil Rogers, Ash glazes) over ‘high iron’ slip thanks @neilhotchin my version of this was a dash of redart clay powder with a double shot of RIO - wood fired 💫

Silver inch plant #sagger planters! These plants hang down so a shorter and thicker wall provides the anchor that will be needed as the plant grows. Thanks to @benbrierley64 for the titanium glaze concept that a group of us have been having fun with for years!l it’s fab in wood fire and excellent blending into tenmoku. The shell supported a porcelain #guinomi sheltering from the fly ash, last photo 💫

It’s a heady mix of engaging with people and a great opportunity to get feedback - 100% worth it. Firing 4 with this kiln and the most learnings yet, it’s building on the past 3 plus innovation from inquisitive minds. Good times and temps. Will open in an evening this week.
